Well everything has suddenly come to life and the lilys are all out,the flag iris have flowered and the birds have been having their young.

There has been a few anglers fishing the Tench lake with nets of up to 25 fish being landed, we have lost 3 Tench this week so have taken the decision to stop the use of keep nets. Every time i visit the lakes i see something new and today i watched a brood of baby pheasants with their protective mother. There was also a Kestrel working the meadow areas and this is the third time i have spotted it now and i grabbed a quick snap before it dived to the ground.

These are stunning birds of prey and the lack of the usual buzzards may have allowed this bird into the area, i need to capture one of the Barn Owls on film next, they are usually at the lakes during dusk. I managed to catch 3 more Carp from the Stock pond and was amazed to see how big they are getting on the new feed program we are doing for the lakes.

Well thats it for now but i have plenty of work to do this weekend including platform construction, weed spraying and fence maintenance. I also need to get the suit on and remove some of the reeds from the Carp lake.
